After 34 years as Exact Abacus, we have evolved from an accounting software supplier to the UK’s foremost eCommerce service and technology provider, and thought it was time to change our name to something more relevant to our industry-leading proposition and unique business model. So...drum roll please…we’d like to reintroduce ourselves as fulfilmentcrowd.

Why fulfilmentcrowd?

Our new identity completes a strategic transition that has seen us refocus the business to encapsulate what we do best, and to better align our services and technology to customer requirements.

Over recent years, we’ve seen demand for our fulfilment software grow exponentially. In fact, fulfilment now performs as an essential service and low-cost route to market for like-minded online retailers to drive business growth - supported by the leading-edge order processing and stock management capabilities of our software platform. Our portfolio of happy clients sit amongst an unrivalled range of specialist services for sectors including: jewellery, cosmetics, fashion, dangerous goods, organic-certified and alcohol. The new branding and company name have been developed to articulate these strengths and drive further growth by making fulfilmentcrowd more recognisable as an eCommerce fulfilment services and technology provider, as well as highlighting the benefits or working in partnerships as part of the ‘crowd’.

The Thinking Behind the Name

Our name change is the final stage of a journey that began earlier this year with a revamped proposition and new website. It makes sense to capitalise on this with a company name that clearly states what we offer, and we think fulfilmentcrowd does just that while also expressing the friendly, inclusive and customer-focused culture of our business.

Driving our growth is ‘The Crowd’, a rapidly expanding community of customers, advocates, resellers and service providers. This unique and international network of partners leverage their space and latent resources such as warehouses, providing fulfilment services in line with our proven quality management system and industry-leading service levels. This sharing model enables us to offer unrivalled coverage and capacity to support the fulfilment requirements of customers around the world. We continue to manage the sales, on-boarding, customer services and billing processes, while our FNP providers will meet our strict performance standards for stock holding, pick, pack and dispatch. It’s a model that benefits our partners by maximising their space and resources, while ensuring our customers can be confident of consistently high standards. In that way, the whole crowd benefits.

Further growth of the ‘crowd’ shortly awaits us, as our third FNP facility is anticipated to be up running by the end of the summer. This takes our total warehousing capacity to 80,000 sq ft by the end of the year!
