Fear of Failure? Don’t let it stop you becoming an entrepreneur!

You find yourself watching Dragons Den, more than likely making judgement on some of those budding entrepreneurs as they step through the elevator doors ready to pitch their weird and wacky but often great business concepts.

It is more than likely that several will leave back through those elevator doors with no investment but the advice to carry on how they are, or quit whilst they can. In FACT they prove the Dragons wrong by choosing not to give up and go on to become a major success story

On the other hand there are those lucky enough to walk away having succeeded in seeking investment from those stern dragons, ready to start their new adventure. Growing their business with the advice and support from entrepreneurs who are leaders in their field.

As an avid watcher of the programme I often ask myself as I’m sure many others do; is there anything that I could invent or identify a gap in the market and pursue my own business adventure?

It is these individuals that have the willpower and motivation to succeed, who are able to fight for their product or brand, proving that customer demand is there. Identifying that their business concept has the means to grow, compete and stand on its own that should act as the motivation for any individual to achieve their dreams regardless of the fear of failure.

So, my message is simple if you have a great business idea and you’ve established a need for your product then grab that opportunity and make it work, if the fear of failure is stopping you from running your own business, DON’T LET IT! Let the Fear of Failure be the driving force and motivation to pursue your dreams and achieve business success.

Hard work, passion and a determination will provide you with the foundations to make your business work, whether a bricks and mortar shop or an eCommerce store. Remember all start-up business start from the bottom with just an initial idea, more than likely along with a DIY prototype. And that is what contributes to a success story. The moral is you don’t need experience, if you think there’s a gap in the market, or you’ve already sought demand then that should be the ‘Light Bulb’ moment to go chase your dreams.

So if you’re looking to start up your on-line business and you’re looking for that final push factor to pursuing your dream take inspiration from our start-up client Kabo Hockey who had an idea and actively sought action to turning the initial idea into an actual business and let their story inspire you.
