As an online retailer you need to make sure you’re not missing out on the key retail dates over the festive period that can provide a cash windfall for your business.

So here’s the key dates that you ought to be taking advantage off:

BLACK FRIDAY: 27th November

Amazing deals galore… this one day shopping bonanza since coming over from the states back in 2010 is a day were retailers and etailers slash their prices on numerous products, offering shoppers huge savings on anything from electrical goods, to gaming to beauty….and 2015 is set to be the BIGGEST yet.

CYBER MONDAY: 30th November

A counterpart of Black Friday, Cyber Monday is another great discount shopping spectacle primarily targeting the eCommerce sector prompting people to shop online. And with Yodel predicting that 76% of shoppers will buy over half of their Christmas shopping online, you won’t want to miss out!


Small business Saturday encourages shoppers to shop local and support small businesses within their community, the major retailers have had their limelight now it’s time for the smaller retailers to take centre stage.

FREE SHIPPING DAY: 18th December

This annual events allows shoppers the opportunity to take advantage of thousands of online retailers offering FREE shipping for one day only, guaranteeing delivery in time by Christmas eve.

CHRISTMAS DAY: 25th December

Christmas day is fast becoming a key retailing day with online shoppers completing 25% more transactions online in 2014 compared to the previous year, with a whopping £636 million spent in total. And with gifts of smartphones and a tablets it provides the perfect platform to browse and shop online. What will Christmas 2015 and hold?

BOXING DAY: 26th December

Having been previously outdone by Black Friday for the first time in 7 years the ritual of Boxing Day sales will still have the UK’s consumers flocking to retail websites and shoppers camping outside some of the largest retailers ready to grab a bargain, and with a £156 million visits to retail sites last year, despite losing its crown as one of the biggest retail dates it still cannot be overlooked.
