Charity check-in: Our six-month round-up for Rosemere Cancer Foundation

Read time: 6 mins

We’ve been busy raising plenty more funds since our last six-month update for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, and what a journey it’s been! From festive fundraising to pancake-flipping fun, here’s how we’ve continued making a difference – one donation at a time.

Christmas cards and raffle tickets: £236.50 (including £45.50 Gift Aid)

The festive season certainly brought out the generous spirit in everyone, as our Christmas card and raffle ticket sales proved that the season of giving is well and truly alive at fulfilmentcrowd.

All Christmas cards and raffle tickets were provided by our charity partners, before being sold to staff to turn holiday cheer into charitable impact. Nothing says ‘Merry Christmas’ quite like supporting cancer patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Pancake Day: £38 (including £5 Gift Aid)

We flipped for a great cause this Pancake Day! Whether drizzled with lemon and sugar or smothered in Nutella, every pancake served up sweet success for our charity partner.

But it wouldn’t be a fulfilmentcrowd activity without a bit of friendly competition… Shoutout to Head of Customer Operations Chelsea Banister who displayed some flipping impressive skills to win our pancake contest!

Tuck shop and Ted's tasty treats: £250

Our charity tuck shop continues to be a sweet success story! We’ve been snacking with purpose over the last few months, with all proceeds heading to our charity partner.

Not only this, but Onboarding Manager Kirsty Pedersen also ensured our canine friends were well looked after! Her healthy homemade dog treats (named after her own furry friend, Ted) had plenty of tails wagging and contributed to our grand total.

At £250 transferred to our JustGiving page, it’s clear that a little office indulgence (not forgetting employees' dogs!) can go a long way towards supporting those in need.

Rosemere Walk in the Dark 2025: £310.16 (including £55 Gift Aid)

A huge shoutout to Head of Network Michelle Bruce for putting her best foot forward and raising an incredible £310.16 by taking part in the 2025 Walk in the Dark!

Hosted annually by Rosemere Cancer Foundation, this charity trek sees walkers travel approximately 11 miles from Chorley Hospital to Royal Preston. Michelle proved that every step counts when walking for a worthy cause, helping to raise funds that will make a real difference to cancer patients. We’d call that a step in the right direction!

Cake sale: £155

More yummy treats helped to raise our total for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, with our cake sale resulting in £155!

From Victoria sponges to chocolate delights, every slice served up support for our charity partners. Nobody left hungry, and everybody left knowing they’d contributed to supporting cancer patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The grand total

With these efforts combined, we’re thrilled to announce our running totals:

  • £2,760 raised on our JustGiving page
  • £1,684 raised from our Born Survivor challenge
  • £80 in cash donations
  • £4,524 grand total

Looking forward

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation remains close to our hearts, and their mission to support world-class cancer treatment across Lancashire and South Cumbria is one we’re proud to stand behind.

By funding cutting-edge equipment, making treatments more comfortable for patients, backing local research, and facilitating top-quality training for clinical staff, Rosemere is at the heart of the fight against cancer.

That’s why we’re not stopping here, as there’s so much more fundraising left to do in support of this incredible charity. Stay tuned for our next round of events, and thank you to everyone who’s contributed so far.

Together, we’re making a real difference – one fundraising event at a time.
